Grape Pondering

30 Nov

I can’t decide if I like the green grapes better…or the red…

Green is my favorite color…

But the red ones make better wine…

The green ones are juicer…

But the red ones are more flavorful…

If you put a red and a green one together in your mouth…

It doesn’t help with the debate at all…

They just kind of mush together…

In a grape orgy of non distinct grapey  juices…

Red grapes tastes better on a salad…

Green grapes tastes better in fruit cocktail…

I guess when it comes to grape debates…

The only clear cut loser…

Is raisins.

This is so true in so many ways. It’s a great piece. I think it should be on the wall of the Lincoln Memorial or something.

    I’ll say!

  3. Christopher De Voss November 30, 2012 at 3:16 PM #

It really bugs me. Sometimes I toss and turn at night thinking about it.

Don’t think I have ever had one outside of a fruitcake that is…and fruitcake no bueno!

      • Cathy Ulrich November 30, 2012 at 5:34 PM #

I was gonna leave a smart-ass comment, and then I laughed so hard I forgot it. Oh Becca. ❤

I am so happy this video is in my life now.

Freeze them. Try one of each again. See if that helps.

    • Christopher De Voss November 30, 2012 at 5:30 PM #

I shall and record my findings. Although frozen grapes do not sound good to me.

Again you perform a valuable service in applying all of your mental powers to this issue of grape importance.

  9. GiggsMcGill Jill November 30, 2012 at 5:25 PM #

Have you tried freezing both of them and then trying them? Maybe THAT will hold the answer!

    • GiggsMcGill Jill November 30, 2012 at 5:26 PM #

Dang it – I just missed having that idea first… bummer…

      • Christopher De Voss November 30, 2012 at 5:32 PM #

Just go with the great minds think a like thing.

    • Christopher De Voss November 30, 2012 at 5:31 PM #

What is this freezing of the grapes? What have I been missing?

      • GiggsMcGill Jill November 30, 2012 at 5:32 PM #

Delicousness. That’s what you’ve been missing.

      • Christopher De Voss November 30, 2012 at 5:34 PM #

Next you will tell me to try chocolate covered grapes….

      • GiggsMcGill Jill November 30, 2012 at 5:51 PM #

Nope – I’ve tried that. Not as good as it sounds…

      • Maddie Cochere November 30, 2012 at 7:18 PM #

Freezing enhances the flavor and they are like little bite-sized freezer pops. Rinse ’em, dry ’em, freeze ’em for several hours. Be sure to record the entire experience for us. 😉

        Will do!

Try hypnosis; I hear it works wonders….
No, not on the grapes, silly….

    • Christopher De Voss November 30, 2012 at 6:54 PM #

      For grape ponderings? Weird!

      • carolynpageabc November 30, 2012 at 7:01 PM #

        Hahahhh…. Whatever turns you on, I say…!
        Have a great weekend…! 🙂

Well said! I like both grapes for different reasons. I prefer white semi-sweet wines most of the time, but prefer to eat red grapes. Then again, I can’t drink wine much anyway because of my medication. Oh well. Guess raisins will have to do…

  12. David Stewart November 30, 2012 at 10:35 PM #

I like anything seedless, but that’s just because I’m lazy, I think.

  13. Storkhunter December 1, 2012 at 2:50 PM #

As long as they’re seedless and crunchy I’m easy. If all else fails I just stomp on them until they whine

  14. The Bumble Files December 1, 2012 at 4:55 PM #

I usually go for the green, but I prefer the red for wine. Oh yeah, and no seeds allowed. I’m glad you addressed this most important issue.

  15. gingerfightback December 3, 2012 at 5:24 AM #

    A grape post!

  16. Carrie Rubin December 3, 2012 at 12:46 PM #

Yes, the raisin is the ugly one of the bunch, no doubt. He’s like a Tommy Lee Jones among a Liam Hemsworth and a Chris Evans.

    • Christopher De Voss December 3, 2012 at 3:06 PM #

Tommy Lee Jones is a better actor though…maybe I will give raisins a second look…

      • Carrie Rubin December 3, 2012 at 3:20 PM #

Yes, like Tommy, they’re not so bad once you get past the wrinkles.

      • Christopher De Voss December 3, 2012 at 3:46 PM #

        Touche!
